TELL YOUR STORY. Share your concerns and experiences related to this project. Some topics you can discuss include protecting natural resources and farmland, safeguarding residents’ health and safety, and preserving our community’s character. You can include concerns about noise, property values, water use, pollution, wildlife, surveillance, and electricity prices. Your input matters.
CAW FOR TRANSPARENCY
Caw on the Indiana County Commissioners to fully disclose all information about the gas plant and data center campus project before the public hearing, so that meaningful discussion is possible and everyone has access to the same facts and context. Complete transparency will allow the public to submit informed comments and participate meaningfully at the hearing.

Caw on the Indiana County Commissioners to publicly support stronger statewide safeguards for data center development. Ask them to urge state leaders to advance legislation that gives municipalities time to plan responsibly, increases transparency, protects taxpayers and ratepayers, and ensures communities have a meaningful voice before new projects are approved. Support House Bill 2198, House Bill 2496, House Bill 2359, Senate Bill 1359, and other measures that strengthen oversight of data center development. Pennsylvania is already moving in this direction. Let’s ensure these protections become law.

Pennsylvania House Bill 2198 is a legislative proposal aimed at repealing the state’s Computer Data Center Equipment Incentive Program. If passed, it eliminates the sales and use tax exemptions currently granted to computer data centers, recovering millions in state tax revenue.

Pennsylvania House Bill 2359, introduced by Representative Joe Ciresi, would increase transparency in data center development by prohibiting state and local government agencies from entering into non-disclosure agreements regarding data center projects.
